Guestrooms

The well appointed guestrooms and suites feature modern amenities. Our Standard twin-room was located on the 8th floor offering majestic views of the  Romanian Athenaeum and the surrounding city.

The guestroom was spacious, featuring a work-friendly writing desk, excellent WiFi and a separate sitting corner with a comfortable armchair. Decorated in hues of dark wood with a touch of red.

The bathroom had a bathtub with a strong waterfall shower, a fog resistant mirror, a full set of amenities and a hairdryer.

The bathrobes and slippers were also of good quality. The slippers were blue which made them stand out from the typical white hotel slippers.

The room also featured a fully stocked minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and an ironing board and a laptop-size safe.

Other accommodation options include Business Class Suite, Junior Suite, One Bedroom Suite, The Royal Suite and the Elite Presidential Suite.

Breakfast

There is one word to describe the breakfast at Radisson Blu Bucharest — exceptional. For a hotelier and someone who has tried many five star breakfast over the years, I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet.

Everything on the menu was just right, there was a cold cuts corner with a selection of excellent choice of ham and salami, a cheese platter, dips such as an eggplant salad, salmon, ready made wrapped sandwiches and fresh vegetables.

The healthy corner had yogurts, cereals, nuts, fresh fruit and dried fruit selection. There was also a selection of milk based on your preference.

The hot section is an open plan kitchen where the cooks will happily prepare you the eggs of your choice. There is also a selection of bacon, sausages, baked potatoes and pancakes.

There is also a separate bread and freshly baked goods corner, flavoured water and plenty of freshly squeezed orange juice.

The staff is very professional, efficient and discreet. Over the four mornings they had already learned our coffee preference and were ready to accommodate with a smile and kept our glassed topped with freshly squeezed orange juice.  Every breakfast was a wonderful experience.

Radisson Blu Bucharest offers several eating and drinking options. There are 3 restaurants and 4 bars designed for the most discerning palates. If you are thirstier more than hungry do try the Astrology Cocktail menu at the hip and modern Blå Lounge Bar.

On our last evening we also tried the cuisine at the Italian restaurant called Caffe Citta. The food was delicious and the service was very good.

Pools and Spa Facilities

One evening we popped down to the World Class Health Academy which is free for the hotel guests to enjoy the outside Jacuzzi. It was a magical feeling indeed as it was snowing and the water was so soothing and warm.

Unfortunately we couldn’t take any photos with our iPhone as we had to pass through sliding glass doors to get outside and we didn’t want to risk dropping the phone. It was a very Instagram worthy shot though. There is an indoor and an outdoor pool, saunas, fitness and gym center. The hotel also features a Bali spa for those who are seeking to rejuvenate and relax.

The Radisson Blu Bucharest Experience

I definitely recommend Radisson Blu Bucharest to anyone who is looking for a cosmopolitan and modern accommodation in the heart of Bucharest. Surrounded by gorgeous historical buildings, with easy access to the historical Old Town and the city’s popular restaurants and bars. The service we encountered was exceptional, everyone was extremely helpful, from the bar staff to the restaurant team, the Concierge and the Front Office staff. Thank you for your warm hospitality.
